Greg Baniak graduated with his B.Sc. honors degree in geology from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008 and his PhD in geology from the University of Alberta in 2013. His doctorate focused on evaluating the impact bioturbation plays in controlling permeability and porosity trends within carbonate and siliciclastic reservoirs. Following graduate school, he worked as an oil sands geologist on both analog and appraisal projects for over three years in Calgary, Alberta with BP Canada. Following this, he worked 13-months on exploration, appraisal, and development projects in Aberdeen, Scotland with BP North Sea. More recently, he has moved back to Calgary and begun working on new well delivery projects for BP Canada.
